The Hedges is a six-minute walk and two-minute drive from one of the most breathtaking beaches ever to exist—East Hampton’s Main Beach. To experience it for yourself (or just post it on your Instagram), our Beach Butlers will whisk you over in our signature pink vintage Land Rover Defender. 

All you need to do is tell us what your ideal beach excursion might require. Excellent snacks? A Swifty’s lunch? Fizzy drinks? We will pack it all up in pink Yeti coolers, and set you up in the sand with chic chairs, towels, and umbrellas. When you are ready to return, just send us a text and our Beach Butlers will pick you up wearing pink.

Hydrangeas. Handlebars. Helmets (because chic and safe is our thing). Our fleet of retro-style bikes – wrapped in a custom hydrangea print – are ready to roll.

We  like to deliver unabashed style and fun at every turn—-even with our beach transport. This explains how we ended up with a pink vintage Land Rover Defender 110 as our Beach Runner.
If you are a beach devotee in need of a ride, just check in with our concierge and they will arrange for one of our pink-clad Beach Butlers to drive you over. 

We take just as much care with how you get to the beach as where you end up. Our Beach Buggy is golf cart transport, elevated—light, breezy, and dressed in signature Hedges style. Framed with hydrangeas and made for sunlit cruising, it turns a simple ride into part of the experience. For a lift to the shore, connect with our concierge and let one of our Beach Butlers take care of the rest – stylishly of course.

Only in July and August (because summer has a limited run), our Beach Butlers craft private bonfire gatherings on request. Cozy seating, plush blankets, gourmet s’mores, fun drinks, and a perfectly tended fire—it’s all handled. Just book ahead and settle in for stargazing and merriment. 

Too far to walk or too fabulous for flats? We’ve partnered with Volvo Car USA to offer complimentary rides in our fully electric, Hedges-branded Volvo EX90s. The perfect option for outings within two miles from the inn. Our complimentary rides are sleek, sustainable, and in high demand.

Heading farther? We’ll gladly book a ride with one of our transportation partners.

Refuse to go anywhere without your pup? We have very good news–The Hedges accepts well-behaved dogs under 25-pounds for an additional nightly fee. Canine guests will receive treats upon check-in, along with food and water bowls for their stay. Just don’t forget to remind them, no barking at brunch.
